  3. Sternberg Summer Science Day 2017

    The Sternberg Museum is joining the City of Hay’s sesquicentennial celebration with a Summer Science Day! On Thursday July 20th from 10am until 2pm, the Museum will have special displays, presentations, and activities exploring the topic of WEATHER. Interact with Museum and FHSU scientists to learn about weather phenomena, the effects of weather on plants and animals, and the differences between weather and climate. There will be activities for all ages. No additional costs for special programming, but normal admission fees apply (so the event is free for members). Museum and exhibits are open all day, but special programming is from 10am to 2pm only, so don’t miss out! Join us as we celebrate Hays and science this summer!

  4. Hit the Bricks 5K

    Join the Cancer Council of Ellis County for its 5th Annual 5K, Hit the Bricks, in Downtown Hays! The cross-country like course starts on Fort Street just south of the railroad tracks, a quick turn towards Main takes you on to loop around the dyke and end in beautiful Downtown so racers can enjoy the great sales at the annual sidewalk sale!
